HEALTH INSURANCE: GIC

Health benefits are offered through the Town of North Andover. All employees who regularly work 18.75 hours or more per week in a 37.5-hour work-week or 20 hours in a 40-hour work-week are eligible for health benefits through the Group Insurance Commission (GIC). Forms must be submitted within 10 calendar days of your start date. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 60 calendar days from the first date of employment or two calendar months (whichever comes first). New school year employees hired prior to September 2 begin coverage November 1.

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT WINDOW IS CLOSED

The GIC annual enrollment window is now closed for new health coverage and/or changes. Until the next annual enrollment, employees can only enroll/make changes if there is a "qualifying event."

GIC HEALTH INSURANCE CHANGES TAKE EFFECT JULY 1

New subscriptions and changes made during open enrollment will be effective July 1, 2021.
