Dear NAPS Community, At last night’s School Committee meeting, the members voted 4-1 to approve the plan (shared with you Monday via email (NA Returns 2020)) and to begin the school year in the hybrid model for all students. It is important to note that the School Committee vote amended the presented plan for NAHS to a full school day for the in-person days in the hybrid model. The kindergarten hybrid model separates students into either an AM or a PM group (Monday - Friday). In the grades 1-12 hybrid learning model, NAPS students will be assigned to attend school in-person two full-days per week, either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, with Wednesday being a remote learning day for everyone. Specific information regarding the Pre-K can be found in the plan. We recognize that many of our families will face challenges ahead and that the School Committee voted plan will not satisfy everyone in our school community. Please know that we are working diligently to keep our students and staff safe and healthy, and that we will be prepared to adjust along the way if the public health conditions, state mandates or guidance changes over time. We are grateful for your patience, involvement, and continued support as we navigate this new school year together. Thank You, Dr. Gregg T. Gilligan, Superintendent |
