Dear Members of the North Andover Community,

We are writing to inform you that after careful consideration we have agreed to phase in the start of the upcoming school year. We are committed to the hybrid model and believe the phased in approach will result in a successful and safe return to school. We are excited to welcome back students. Your principal will be sending information about schedules and teacher assignments soon. We will begin the school year in the following manner:

Instruction for most students will begin remotely on September 16th.

  • Pre-K students will be in person beginning on September 16th.

  • Kindergarten students will be remote for the first four days of instruction and phase in on September 22nd and 23rd. Kindergarten Cohorts will be split into two groups over these two days to give students more individualized instruction upon their return.

  • 1st Grade through 9th Grade students will be remote for the first six days of instruction and then begin in person learning according to the hybrid model on September 24th.

  • 10th through 12th Grade students will be remote for the first eight days of instruction and then begin in person learning according to the hybrid model on September 28th.

  • OLA Students will have daily live remote instruction from September 16th through September 23rd.  Kindergarten-9th grade students will then switch to cohorts beginning on September 24th and 10th-12th grade students will switch to cohorts beginning on September 28th.

High School

In addition, we have agreed to adjust the high school schedule. The lunch block and the last academic block have been switched and a structured snack break has been added. This will allow for a full day academically followed by a Grab & Go lunch.  Arrival time will remain the same but dismissal for students will be at 1:25.

Thank you for patience and cooperation. We look forward to working collaboratively to ensure a safe and successful school year for our students.
