School Resource Officers

The main responsibilities of a school resource officer are:

Ensuring the safety of the students of North Andover in school and out in the community. This also leads to lending support to those who are experiencing difficulty at home.
Working very closely with the administrators and guidance counselors at each of the schools, as well as with the youth center and individual teachers.
Teaching programs, with other officers from North Andover and Andover, for self-defense and teaching children how to protect themselves in day to day situations.
Giving presentations to students on Social Media and Cyberbullying. Working with students and their parents on how to appropriately use technology and social media.
