Beyond the Classroom

posted Dec 18, 2019, 7:46 AM by stasonish@northandoverpublicschools.com
With the three school cancellations in December, we have used up our traditional “snow days” for this year. Our last day of school will be Friday, June 19. For any future snow days, we will be using our Beyond the Classroom assignments.

With Beyond the Classroom, students will complete an assignment at home in lieu of making up the cancelled day in June. (As you might remember, in 2017-18 our students didn’t finish the school year until June 27th!)

So, what happens when school is cancelled again?
If school needs to be cancelled again this school year, it will be announced through the usual channels: on the District Homepage, on Dr. Gilligan's Twitter account, and via phone calls and emails home. In these messages, students and guardians will be directed to the Beyond the Classroom website to find their assignments: Assignments will NOT be due the day students return to school. Instead, students will have at least 1 week to complete the assignment.
