Principal's Update #18 - NAHS Transitioning to Full Remote

posted Dec 11, 2020, 1:48 PM by

Dear NAHS Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

I’m following up to the joint letter that was sent from our Assistant Superintendent, Town Manager and Public Health Director.

In addition to our change to Fully Remote, the NAPS COVID Task Force has recommended delaying the start of the winter athletic programs until Monday 1/4/2021. We are also postponing any additional in-person activities planned for prior to the winter holiday break. Please see the additional updates below:

  • Only the Rise Vocational and PreVocational Program that is made up of cohort D students that is taught by Mr. Burr and Ms. Shaughnessy will still be allowed to attend school in-person between 12/14 - 12/23.

  • Students in cohorts A, B and C will be attending all virtual classes live and synchronously during the period we are remote.

Please see the specific schedule information for Monday 12/14 through Wednesday 12/23 can be found here. The bell schedules and times will connect to the Hybrid times on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday.

During this remote period on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday , teachers are available to students for office hours where they can answer questions and provide extra help from 7:45am - 8:15am and from 1:50pm - 2:15pm.

Trimester two schedules are available in Powerschool using the computer. After logging in and choosing your high school student, please select the “my schedule” button on the left hand side and then select the “year view” tab to see the trimester two schedule.

The trimester two schedule will be available on the Powerschool phone app on Monday by refreshing and selecting the schedule button at the bottom of the screen.

I’ll be in touch with additional information during my regularly scheduled Principal’s Update on Sunday evening at 6pm.
