Dear NAHS Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,
We made it to April vacation! I want to recognize our high school faculty and staff for their amazing work this year as they get some well deserved time to spend with their families and friends. Our staff continues to show such great resolve in working through such challenging circumstances. During a typical year, educators feel a cumulative fatigue that brings them to April break each year for some much needed time away from our buildings. Multiple, major transitions and planning have only added to the stress in their lives during a global pandemic. It’s not perfect, but they continue to demonstrate that they can navigate the demands that are placed on them so they can support our students in a positive and productive way. I’m extremely grateful for their sacrifices that have allowed us to be in a position to provide an in-person educational experience for the majority of our students starting on 4/29. I sincerely hope that our students are able to relax, rejuvenate and find some joy over April break. Many students are still making decisions on colleges or preparing for AP tests and other course work. Please continue to stay focused but also take a moment to yourselves over the next week. We haven’t experienced a school year like this one and it’s important to take care of yourself emotionally and physically as well as academically.
