The 4th Annual Wrestle ‘Lympics will take place on Friday November 16 at 6:30pm in the NAHS gym. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online or at the door. Wrestle ‘Lympics is one of our signature events that celebrates inclusion for our Best Buddies® North Andover Chapter that features exhibition wrestling matches between special athletes and varsity standouts. Youth and high school divisions compete on the center mat under the lights at the North Andover High School gymnasium, with all the fanfare of a traditional wrestling match.


In the four weeks leading up to the main event, the athletes practice with coaches and athletes from the Youth and High School wrestling programs. They learn three fundamental moves: a takedown, an escape and a pin. At the Wrestle 'Lympics event, athletes have an opportunity to show off the techniques they have learned, and enjoy being part of a team. Best Buddies® is a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
