Please be sure to also check us out on Twitter @NAMiddle REMINDER: Wednesday, May 8th is an early release day; students will be dismissed at 1:05 p.m.  Your Help Requested for NAMS Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week It is that time of year when we recognize the hardworking staff at NAMS for all that they do! As a big thank you, we will be providing breakfast each morning, and a light lunch on Friday for the teachers and staff at NAMS the week of May 6th. We are soliciting donations of items needed for the week and are also looking for volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up. Feel free to use Venmo to make a donation: @NorthAndoverMiddleSch-PTAC Please deliver all items to NAMS by 6:30 a.m. for breakfast items, and 10:00 a.m. for the Friday lunch items. Please do not send in breakfast donations with your child, as they will arrive too late. If morning delivery is a problem, we are happy to arrange an evening drop off or pick-up; just email Maria Philbin nj1822@comcast.net or Catherine Schmitt at Cathschmitt@yahoo.com to coordinate. Thanks in advance for your help in celebrating our wonderful NAMS staff! PTAC Board  Last PTAC Meeting of the Year is Wednesday, May 8, 2019 @ 9:00 a.m. in the Grade 8 Cafeteria. Please be sure to sign in at the main office when you arrive. Attention Grade 8 Families - We need your help with Grade 8 End-of-Year Activities To make these end-of-year events possible for our students, we need your help. Field Day - Wednesday, June 12th (rain date Thurs 6/13) is a day full of fun and organized activities and will be held at the Youth Center this year. Even though the teachers organize the activities, this day would not be possible without lots of parent volunteers! Class Night - Tuesday, June 18th is an evening of fun, food, and music for the students to enjoy with their 8th grade teachers. This event includes parent volunteers (set up and clean up) and food donations. This presentation will be led by NAMS staff along with a presenter from Nature’s classroom beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st in the NAMS auditorium. NAMS Fine & Performing Arts Night Date: May 22, 2019 Where: Stevens Memorial Library Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Performances by ALKM, Jazz Band, & 3rd Trimester Acting students. Displayed artwork from 3rd trimester 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students and spine poetry from NAMS students. We hope to see you there! NAMS Sock Drive Please consider donating new pairs of socks for our NAMS sock drive. The donated socks will be going to local veterans and homeless shelters. Any size socks would be greatly appreciated. There is a collection bin outside of the main office. We will be collecting socks until Friday, May 10, 2019. Students Not Attending North Andover in the Fall 2019 If a student will not be attending North Andover Public Schools in September of 2019, parents/guardians will need to notify Mrs. Barron as soon as possible by either email or coming into the main office of NAMS. At the end of the school year your student’s records will be forwarded to their new school.
