Open House

Open houses are by grade level and serve as an opportunity for parents/guardians to meet teachers and learn more about curriculum and classroom practices. Open houses begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium and Team meetings beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Parents/Guardians of Special Education students are invited to meet Susan Donatell at 5:30 p.m. in the library.  She will be available for all three open houses, which are scheduled as follows:

  • 6th grade - Wednesday, September 12, 2018

  • 7th grade - Thursday, September 20, 2018

  • 8th grade - Thursday, September 27, 2018

Picture Day - Friday, September 14th

NAMS Picture Day is scheduled for Friday, September 14th.  Students will be bringing home Picture Day order forms on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

North Andover Middle School Parent Teacher Advisory Council

Parent involvement is an essential part of NAMS.  The PTAC (North Andover Middle School Parent Teacher Advisory Council) is a great way to find opportunities that might interest you.  Our first meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the NAMS cafeteria.

Annual Grade 6 Team Building Field Trip

We would like to welcome your child to the NAMS community and wish them a productive and fun-filled year. It is a NAMS tradition for the 6th grade class to participate in team-building activities in hopes of fostering friendships, alleviating anxiety and strengthening our 6th grade community. During the week of September 10th, your child will be participating in "6th Grade Camp" Students will be broken out by teams and will have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, cooperative games, etc. All activities will take place at Stevens Pond and Weir Hill.  You may find more information about this trip here or at the following address:

  • Teams 6B & 6C are scheduled to attend the field trip on Wednesday, September 12th.
  • Due to the weather forecast of possible thunderstorms on Tuesday, September 11th, Teams 6A & 6D will attend the field trip on Thursday, September 13th.

Annual Grade 8 Trip to Nature’s Classroom

The dates of this year’s Annual Grade 8 Trip to Nature’s Classroom are as follows:

  • Team 8A - October 15-17, 2018

  • Team 8B - October 17-19, 2018

  • Team 8C - October 22-24, 2018

The Nature's Classroom location that we will be going to is Ocean Park, ME. You can access the Nature's Classroom website for Ocean Park here. Under School Program, you may learn what a typical day at Nature's Classroom looks like and more.

Many of our parents/guardians still need to register for this trip.  You can register for the trip through Community Pass. You will be receiving another email regarding how to access Community Pass through the Community Programs Department or you can use one of the two links below to register for this year’s trip.  

Full payment of $230 will be due by September 30, 2018 and checks should be made payable to Town of North Andover.  Online payment and registration is available through Community Pass by clicking on the orange community pass portal button at the top left of the page. Nature’s Classroom will be listed under the Excel Enrichment tab once you are logged in. (If you do not have an active community pass account, please call Community Programs at 978-794-3080 or email Lisa Foucault at for assistance.

  • Meal application forms may be found on this site.

  • Please be sure to remind your child that they will continue to use their PIN numbers to purchase breakfast and/or lunch.

  • Breakfast is served daily, including the first day of school, from 7:15-7:35 a.m.

  • Students new to the district should plan on bringing lunch on the first few days of school or money to purchase breakfast and/or lunch.
