Principal's Post - Week of September 17th

Dear NAMS Families,

I hope that this message finds you and your families safe this evening.  Recognizing that many of our families are still displaced from their homes and significantly impacted by the events of last week, we at NAMS would like to help.

1. Student absences will be excused for those who are not able to make it into school.

2. School counselors will be available at all of our schools for students who may require support.

3. The school will be open at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow for any students who wish to take a hot shower in our gym locker rooms before school begins.  Toiletries will be donated by our PTAC families and available on tables outside of the locker rooms. The you Ms. Chestler for organizing this.

4. NAMS staff will be donating breakfast items and snacks for our students.  These snacks and breakfast items will be on tables outside of the locker rooms. Thank you Ms. Raffalli for organizing this.

5. Please let me know if your family has been displaced or has specific needs as a result of Thursday's events so that we may mobilize available resources, in coordination with the Youth Center, to support our students. We are committed to supporting and assisting all students and families through this difficult time.

6. We are working to provide opportunities for students to write thank you cards for our emergency personnel who responded to the events of the last few days and continue to provide support for our families in need.

7. NAMS Picture Day has been rescheduled for Friday, September 28, 2018.
