Good Evening NAMS Families,

I hope that this message finds you and your family well. As we approach the first day of in-person school for many of our students, please review the important information below. Cohorts A & C are scheduled to attend school in person this Thursday and Cohort B (& C again) are scheduled to attend school in person this Friday.

Additional Information Regarding Drop-Off and Pick-Up

  • If more than 1 student is being dropped off or picked up, please drop off or pick up all students at one of the two drop-off or pick-up locations. This will require a student to walk to a different entrance or walk to a different pick-up spot.

  • I would highly recommend that families arrange for drop-offs and pick-ups off school grounds that will not require students to cross any streets. Such locations include the library or somewhere on Main Street on the school side of the street.

  • If you haven’t already, please be sure to check out the Student Arrival & Drop Off Video.

Virtual Tours of NAMS

  • Welcome to NAMS Incoming Grade 6 Students and New Students!

  • We created a brief virtual tour of NAMS here.

  • All of our Grade 6 students attending school in person will be provided a small group tour of NAMS by their Team Teachers this Thursday or Friday that will provide students with an entire school tour.

Online Meal Ordering System

  • You should have all received information about our online meal ordering system from Erika Murphy, Director of Food Services & Nutrition for North Andover Public Schools. Please be sure to review this information at your earliest convenience, but definitely before your child begins to attend school in person.

Schedule for Thursday and Friday and beyond...

Student ID Badges, Lanyards, Agenda Planners, & ChromeBooks

  • Agenda Planners, Student ID Badges, and Lanyards for the ID Badges will be distributed to students this week or early next week.

  • If a student never picked up a Chromebook from the district, this will be provided to the student when they attend school in person this week.

    • Tuesday, September 29th between 3:00-5:00 p.m.

    • Thursday, October 1st from 9:00-2:00 & 3:00-5:00

  • Logistics:

    • There will be 3 cameras set up outside in front of the building under tents. Students should be led outside by their team teachers via the main doors.

    • The photographers already have all of our students’ information so all that our students need to do is to share their name with the photographer.

    • In speaking with our school photographer, I learned that it will take about 2 minutes per student.

    • Once pictures are ready, families will receive via email a unique key code to order their child’s picture.

    • OLA students can have their picture taken between 3:00-5:00 p.m. on September 29th or October 1st. This is also when our OLA students can pick up a bag with school supplies and materials.

I’m sure that you have many questions and I want to assure you that we will continue to share information and videos with you that we hope will answer many of these questions. Stay tuned for more information and lots of videos!

Be well,

Jorge Goncalves

Principal
