NAMS Project 351 Ambassador

NAMS is proud to announce that Finn Murphy has been selected as our NAMS 2018-2019 Project 351 Ambassador. Finn was selected by a Committee made up of 8th grade teachers and will be one of 351 8th graders selected to be part of Project 351 which is an organization that involves one student from each city and town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This organization focuses on Community Service and will provide Finn with training at a series of Student Conferences and Volunteer Opportunities throughout Boston during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend. Finn will take his experiences from Project 351 back with him to NAMS and take on a leadership project that promotes community service for all students in our learning community.

In addition, NAMS would like congratulate the other five finalists who were selected from a large 8th grade class and were asked to put together an application that highlighted their many strengths in addition to participating in an interview with the Selection Committee. They are as follows.

  • 8A: Maggie Nugent and Hannah Martin

  • 8B: Xavier Paredes and Julia Lane

  • 8C: Margaret Fallon, who was selected as the Alternate

These six students are just some of the many outstanding NAMS 8th graders who not only know the RAISE values but apply them in their daily lives and within various interactions throughout the day.  You can learn more about Project 351 here.
